Off-Campus Learning
School Day Field Trips Throughout the school year, First Lutheran students are given the opportunity to expand their classroom learning with educational field trips to local museums, aquariums, special exhibits and more. These trips are designed to supplement the academic curriculum and give students real-life demonstrations of the lessons taught in the classrooms. Learning Excursions Students in fourth through eighth grades also participate in special overnight trips with their classes. Fourth grade: State Capitol, Sacramento, Calif. (California History) Fifth grade: Alpine Conference Center Christian Camp, Arrowhead, Calif. (Outdoor Education) Sixth grade: Astrocamp, Green Valley Lake, Calif. (Earth/Physical Sciences and Space Technology) Seventh grade: Catalina Island (Marine Biology) Eighth grade: Washington, D.C. and surrounding areas (U.S. History) For more information on Field Trips and Learning Excursions, please contact the School Office. |
