The 2009-2010 school year marks First Lutheran's sixteenth year in the Torrance Adve ntures In Art program. This is a volunteer program that provides the opportunity, materials and the methods with which children can create their own unique art solutions. Our philosophy is grounded in the belief that the art experience for children should focus on the process and not the finished product. We are dedicated to furthering the creative spirit in children, through art, in a non-judgmental atmosphere. Our goal is to foster self-esteem and build a foundation of exploration and fun that will interest and inspire children to further create. We promote an non-threatening environment with no implication of right, wrong, or the "real" way to create.
