First Lutheran welcomes children of all races, nationalities and religions. We offer one transitional kindergarten class with a maximum of 14 students, and two classes in each grade from kindergarten through eighth grade limited to 26 students each.
All new students entering transitional kindergarten through grade 8 must undergo an initial screening as part of the application process. The evaluation is administered by appointment in the school office, and the results are used to determine the student's current academic level. The cost of the screening varies based on the student's grade level.
For all grade levels, final acceptance into First Lutheran is based on space availability, entrance screening results, and school references and staff recommendations. Kindergarten entrance is determined by First Lutheran Early Education Center recommendations and kindergarten readiness screening (Gesell Development Observation) results. Children must be five years old on or before Sept. 1, 2017, to be eligible to enter kindergarten in Fall 2017.
We are accepting applications for the 2017-2018 school year on a space-available basis.
For the 2017-2018 school year, Priority Re-Enrollment for currently enrolled students, siblings, EEC students, and church members was available in February, 2017. Open Enrollment for new students began on March 4, 2017 at 8:00am. Enrollment is on a first-come, first-serve basis.
