Enrollment & Application
First Lutheran welcomes children of all races, nationalities and religions. We offer one developmental kindergarten class with a maximum of 12 students, and two classes in each grade from kindergarten through eighth grade, with these classes limited to 24 to 26 students each.
Entrance Requirements
All new students entering developmental kindergarten through grade 8 must undergo an initial screening as part of the application process. The evaluation is administered by appointment in the school office, and the results are used to determine the student's current academic level. The cost of the screening is $50.
For all grade levels, final acceptance into First Lutheran is based on space availability, entrance screening results, and school references and staff recommendations. Kindergarten entrance is determined by First Lutheran Early Education Center recommendations and kindergarten readiness screening (Gesell Development Observation) results. Children must be five years old on or before Sept. 1, 2010, to be eligible to enter kindergarten in Fall 2010.
